This position is in part funded by a large grant recently awarded to Danilov laboratory.
Dr. Danilov's research is highly translational and involves work with primary samples from patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia and lymphoma. Based on laboratory findings, Dr. Danilov's group originates early-phase clinical trials, allowing for verification of laboratory findings in the clinical setting.
B-cell lymphomagenesis heavily depends on the function of MYC oncogene, a transcription factor which regulates cell proliferation and growth. The work will concentrate on the validation of new therapeutic targets within the MYC pathway and molecular signaling pathways involved in pathogenesis of hematologic malignancies, specifically non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
Candidates are expected to have experience in molecular biology and/or biochemistry. They should have demonstrated their capabilities and enthusiasm by peer-reviewed publications. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is capable and willing to make maximum use of excellent facilities and a productive environment. Functions/Duties of Position
Perform technical procedures such as electrophoresis, chromatin immunoprecipitation, DNA subcloning and DNA purification from bacterial cultures, cell cultures and patient samples. Operate a variety of instruments and scientific equipment, including operation, quality control and maintenance.Collect, record, organize and verify the accuracy of data; keep detailed and accurate laboratory records; tabulate data, perform calculations, prepare charts, graphs and reports. May use software applications to assemble, manipulate, format and/or perform statistical analysis of data.Read literature applicable to research areas as required and actively participate in laboratory meetings and planning sessions. May be asked to present data to group in a seminar format, and/or at scientific meetings.

Excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills: both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team while being collaborative in resolving problems.
Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Access, Word, and PowerPoint) on Window OS. Ability to accurately type 60wpm
Working knowledge of Oracle.
