The work location for this position is Munson Community Health Center.
High school graduate or GED equivalent.
Current advanced first aid certification or EMT certification desirable.
Exceptional communication skills in speaking to visitors, patients, the general public and MCHC staff.Communicate effectively and in a courteous and tactful manner.
Demonstrate competency in body mechanics and transferring people in and out of vehicles.
Appropriate physical ability to lift and assist patients and visitors when necessary.
Ability to work independently and as part of the Greeter team.
Have a valid driver's license.
Must be able to work flexible hours and understands work may be performed in adverse weather conditions.
Reports to the Director of Loss Prevention and Security.
May receive direction from other MCHC managers as it relates to the specific programs within the facility.

1.Assists visitors, patients and the general public at the front entrance to MCHC.
2.Aids patients and visitors with complete and accurate directions to all MCHC areas.
3.Performs patient's transfers to and from vehicles and wheelchairs.
4.Coordinates vehicular traffic at the circle drive to the front entrance and keeps traffic moving at all times in the pick-up and drop-off areas.
5.Monitors handicap parking spaces for unauthorized vehicles.
6.Ensures the immediate area is a safe & clean environment.Responsible for removal of snow and debris in the patient entry areas.
7.Interacts with Ambassador volunteers and Patient Access staff on a regular basis.
8.Identifies patients who should not be transferred out of the vehicle and requests assistance from a medical staff person to evaluate.
9.Communicates patient's needs or concerns to the registration desk.
10.Escorts/transports patients/visitors in wheelchairs to proper locations, i.e. urgent care, rehabilitation, cardiac rehab, laboratory, radiology, occupation health and medicine, spine and nerve treatment center, pain procedures, etc.
11.Separates wheelchairs to proper locations within MCHC i.e. main and south entrance, pain clinic, etc.
12.Always remember that customers appreciate the little things we do such as:greeting them at their car with an umbrella when it is raining, escorting them to and from their car in the parking area, and greeting them with an open door and a smile.
13.Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
