Challenge yourself, your peers and our industry by shaping what health care looks like and doing your life's best work.(sm) Position SummaryWe are seeking a Senior IT Systems Analyst for our Basking Ridge, NJ location to consult with business stakeholders to gather specific requirements for software development and enhancement of healthcare applications. Write detailed functional specifications/design document. Prepare source-to-target data mapping document and provide data transformation rules. Use application and tools specific to the healthcare business, such as Trizetto's FACETS, MMS batch, and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) 834 transactions for requirement gathering, solution proposals, and testing. Create business system flow diagrams and Use Case diagrams using MS-Visio. Perform data mining and data/system analysis using SQL, MS-Excel, and MS-Access. Collaborate with quality assurance team to ensure QA test scripts align with system deliverables and business processes. Serve as a liaison between business partners, software developers, and quality analysts. Manage change controls, maintain system enhancement requests, and resolve defects. Lead database/system migration projects, assign individual responsibilities, and report system design/analysis status to project management team. Develop strategies to improve system development life cycle. Recommend innovative approaches to improve healthcare system efficiency. 20% project related travel required.
QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, or related field plus 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience or a Master's degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, or related field plus 3 years of experience. Must have demonstrated experience with each of the following: (1) using applications and tools specific to the healthcare business, such as Trizetto's FACETS, MMS batch, and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) 834 transactions for requirement gatherings, solution proposals, and testing; (2) writing detailed functional specifications/design document; (3) creating business system flow diagrams and Use Case diagrams using MS-Visio; (4) preparing source-to-target data mapping document and provide data transformation rules; and (5) performing data mining and data/system analysis using SQL, MS-Excel, and MS-Access.
