The Security Manager will be responsible for the development and maintenance of all Safety and Security related efforts at The Pokémon Company International (TPCi), including safety training, advocating and fostering a culture of safety throughout the building, as well as the oversight and managing security staff.
This role will be responsible for liaising with local, federal, and international law enforcement agencies. You will also coordinate physical security investigations, and threat assessments for TPCi's operations.
Institute security best practices to ensure safety of members, guests, and employees. Manage the daily security operations providing services including life-safety systems, training and risk assessment; conduct investigations as needed. Develop customized policies and procedures for compliance with regulations internal and external to TPCi. Supervise Security staff. Collaborate with other groups within TPCi (i.e. HR, Legal, etc.) and outside of TPCi (i.e. Emergency Services: fire, police, emergency medical services, etc.). Perform first aid and provide other assistance to accident and other victims. Investigate causes and results of accidents. Write detailed incident, investigation, activity, and other reports. Work in conjunction with police and fire departments to develop security plans for special events and other unique security situations to ensure proper access control and evacuation procedures are followed.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
5-7 years of corporate or other security experience in positions involving security operations and emergency planning. 2+ years directly supervising security teams. Considerable knowledge of security technology including access control, CCTV, identification, and special applications. Knowledge of general security principles and practices, and general office procedures and equipment. Ability to communicate orally with clear voice and remain calm during emergencies, such as a fire or medical response. Excellent judgment, discretion, and diplomacy. Strong command presence and ability to work under pressure with critical problem solving skills. Dependable, flexible, and able to work independently as well as part of a team. Ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information. Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to create and present and deliver clear and accurate reports as needed to internal management teams and external agencies. Proficiency using MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
Able to travel and work irregular or extended hours including holidays, nights, and weekends. Must be able to work after normal business hours and weekends as needed. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Must be physically capable to perform tasks which may include running and climbing up and down stairs.
