Provide public services in the operation of Boston Universitys Mugar Memorial Library Circulation Department, staffing Circulation Desk and other service points, provide access to the librarys collections and services during night and weekend hours of operation, including extended 2:00am building closing Fall and Spring academic semesters. Transact lending of materials and explain policies, advise students, faculty, staff, and visitors in the use of the library. Process returned library materials, services off-site storage requests, assist stack unit management and support other departmental needs as required. Facilitate orderly closing and/or opening of the building.
Salary: Grade 23
Requires strong communication skills, superior public service skills, and facility in the use of computers and systems supporting library operations. Bachelors degree preferred. Academic semester hours: Sun-Mon 6:15pm-2:15am; Thurs-Sat 3:15pm-11:15pm. Summer hours vary.
