Advertised Summary Job Description: The Program Coordinator supports the training and education mission of the training and education resource of TRANSFORM in the Irving Institute for Clinical and Translational Research. Reporting to the Program Manager and Director of TRANSFORM, the education arm of Columbia's Irving Institute for Clinical and Translational Research, candidate will: schedule and coordinate events, classes, meetings, and day-to-day operations in the classrooms and conference room of the Education Center; build and maintain up-to-date files and databases for program applicants, enrollees, and graduate; provide direct support to program faculty, staff, and students; assist with drafting and sending program-related correspondence, reports, and manuscripts; maintain, organize, and order supplies needed to support the Education Center; manage and support application and review processes for a variety of programs; coordinate and attend meetings for Education Center and Institute faculty and staff and other stakeholders.
General Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors Degree or the equivalent in education, training and experience, plus two years of related experience.
Candidates with Master's-level training in curriculum and teaching, higher education administration, or organization and leadership will be viewed as extremely competitive.
Additional Specific Minimum Qualifications: Excellent oral and written communication skills; highly organized and detail-oriented; excellent project management skills; experience with events and/or operations management; proficiency with the following computer software programs: Adobe Creative Suite, FileMaker Pro, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook); experience with Informational Technology (IT) and audio/visual (A/V) equipment; highly motivated, willing to learn, proactive, and a strong service orientation; team oriented and able to work independently
