: We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer within the W88 ALT 370 Technical Basis and Qualification Department \(Org\. 2334\) to join the qualification team in support of the mechanical qualification activities\. The selected candidate will support the development and execution of the mechanical qualification plans and will be part of a tightly integrated team working to design, develop, qualify, and produce the W88 ALT 370 weapon system\. This position will include specification and documentation of dynamic test and modeling strategies, laboratory and field test activities, test and analysis plan preparation, test execution, and data analysis\. This position will involve technical engagement with experts in structural dynamics, modal analysis and testing, shock and vibration testing within Sandia and with our partner agencies in support of the mechanical qualification test and analysis program\. This position has exciting growth opportunities and is an integral part of our overall development and qualification effort for the W88 ALT 370\. This position will also include a variety of interactions across the program, including coordination with partner organizations across the laboratory and external interaction with the Navy, NNSA, LANL, and other agencies\. Some travel will be required to support development, test and program needs\.
