<p>As part of a cluster of faculty hires at the University of Minnesota, applicants are sought for a tenure-track, research-intensive, 9-month faculty position in the Department of Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences (<a href="https://www.vetmed.umn.edu/departments/veterinary-and-biomedical-sciences">www.vbs.umn.edu</a>). Competitive applicants will have expertise in cutting edge technologies, including multi-omics approaches, to investigate the molecular mechanisms of microbial community (microbiome/virome) interactions within a host in health and disease. The Department of Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences is recognized for its advanced research and scholarship in the area of microbial interactions (e.g., microbiome) and in the ecology of health and disease in humans and food producing animals.</p><p>This is part of an on-going search for a cluster of faculty hires, supported in part by a new initiative known as the Agricultural Research, Education, Extension and Technology Transfer (AGREET) Program (<a href="https://www.cfans.umn.edu/agreett">https://www.cfans.umn.edu/agreett</a>). <p>REQUIREMENTS:<strong> </strong>Candidates must have a Ph.D., D.V.M., M.D. or equivalent degree and a record of innovative and collaborative postdoctoral scholarship as evidenced by publications in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals.</p>
