Primary Duties: The incumbent will work independently and is responsible for the graphic design and production of campus websites that target students, faculty, staff, prospective students, and the general public. The incumbent will create effective visual communications for web, print, and multimediawith a focus on creating digital assets and building websites in a Web Content Management System. Incumbent will work as part of a team that is responsible for the top-level pages of the University website; will work with and provide art direction to the campus photographer; and will also participate in client consultation, creating timelines and estimates, coordination of tasks and student assistants, and record keeping. Generally the incumbent will work as a team member with the CMT technical and creative personnel, university staff, faculty, and students in implementing effective visual communications for a variety of uses.
EDUCATION: The above knowledge and skills is normally obtained through a college degree in graphic design, fine arts or a related field or through technical experience and/or relevant coursework, equivalent to four years of professional web design experience.
EXPERIENCE: Two years of increasingly responsible web design or related experience.
The person holding this position is considered a mandated reporter under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1083 as a condition of employment.

PHYSICALREQUIREMENTS: Incumbent/applicant will need to be able to perform the essential job functions (duties) of this position with or without reasonable accommodation. This position alternates between remaining in a stationary position operating a person computer for long periods of time and frequently moving about inside the office. Incumbent must be able to identify and distinguish colors, see details (up close and at a distance) and depth perception.
WORKENVIRONMENT: Work is performed in a typical office environment operating computers and other standard business office equipment. Regular interaction with students, clients and colleagues, in a busy office, requiring a high degree of concentration. Occasional evening or weekend hours required to complete work activities. Meetings may be held at both on and off campus locations.
