Experience within a university or equivalent organization.
Experience advising and counseling in an academic setting.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; ability to disseminate information in a clear, accurate, and effective manner. Ability to respond promptly to changing priorities and to work independently on multiple projects, with frequent interruptions.
Demonstrated ability to research, interpret, and apply complex policies, procedures and information, and to conduct research and recommend or implement solutions on own initiative and authority. Demonstrated analytical skills commensurate with requirements of the job.
Organizational and planning skills, including the ability to set priorities, maintain workflow, and meet deadlines.
Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
