Reporting to the GEO Assistant Director for Program Management, the European Programs Coordinator provides broad support for select Virginia Tech study abroad programs in Europe related to the Steger Center for International Studies. Responsibilities cover promotional, logistical, and administrative support in all phases of the programs, including program design and budget building, recruitment and marketing, finance management, student advising, application management, program process and documentation oversight, logistical support for faculty, and program evaluation. The position serves as the central point of contact for all individuals involved with these programs and ensures that all participants are aware of the program timeline and requirements and carry out their program-related activities in a timely and policy-compliant way.
Experience providing support in a professional or academic office Very strong organizational skills, demonstrable from previous professional or personal activities Ability to work independently in a team environment Basic understanding of budget-building principles Working familiarity with Microsoft Office suite of programs Experience successfully learning new computer skills Experience working with university students Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with university faculty and administrators
Familiarity with Virginia Tech academic and financial policies Experience working, studying, or traveling abroad Familiarity with BANNER student information systems Familiarity with TerraDotta application and program management platform
