The Manager of Information Security is accountable and responsible for the architecture, design, planning, development, and operations of identity and access management solutions and associated controls at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago. This individual will apply management expertise, communication skills, team building, conflict management, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of information security best practices to guide the Identity Management team and its stakeholders when addressing identity and access management challenges. This role is intended to be 60% team leadership and product ownership, 30% operations and execution and 10% broader security management. Responsibilities: Team Leadership Provide direction, guidance, instruction, and leadership to members of the Identity Management Team Manage an organizational structure to support the Identity and Access management needs of the Bank Effectively coach and manage the individual performance of team members Develop individual goals and related development plans for the Identity Management Team Establish and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders and customers Participate in product team events (Planning, Review, Refinement, Retrospective, etc) Promote a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, quality and accountability Strategy and Planning Contribute to and maintain awareness of the Bank's strategic technology and business plans Manage stakeholder feedback and priorities to define the overall identity and access management vision Create plans and set priorities to mature the Bank's access management environment Drive stakeholder value through business aligned identity management architecture, design, and planning Assess, communicate and manage Identity Management related risk Develop product and user stories to ensure team delivery is consistent with stakeholder needs Participate in the strategy, planning and governance of the Information Security Group Operations and Support Cultivate, disseminate, and enforce policies, standards and procedures Oversee vendors and contracts needed to support the team Manage compliance with identity and access management service levels Engage stakeholders and customers to resolve access management challenges Troubleshoot customer access management issues Respond to requests for information during assessments, audits and exams Position Requirements: Bachelor's Degree or 8+ years experience in Information Technology 3+ years experience in leading and managing a diverse technology team Proven experience managing and implementing information security solutions One or more technology certifications On call availability after hours Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Behaviors: Outstanding communication (verbal, written, and listening) skills Self-starter who can work independently as well as in a team setting Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language Significant attention to detail Experience with Agile methods and concepts Knowledge of cloud computing principles, specifically related to Amazon Web Services Ability to set and judiciously manage priorities
