Schedule: Full Time
Works directly with affiliate and rural hospitals, and other facilities and partners to connect resources, implement
services, and enhance communication and follow-through. Travels across the region to meet with members of the
management/leadership team of rural hospitals to understand their needs and to implement programs or services that
are requested. Provides operational and follow-up support to Outreach leadership, and in that capacity will need to
know and understand the Centura Health system, resources and partners. Coordinates all aspects of the outreach
specialty clinic program (resourcing, start up and ongoing support). Must function independently with significant
autonomy, be willing to travel across the Centura Health region, possess excellent communication and relationship
skills and be highly organized.
Minimum Education Requirements
BS/BA in a health care or related field required
Minimum Experience Requirements
5 (five) years of related experience in rural healthcare, or comparable healthcare related organization required.
Experience in rural healthcare environment is required.
Some medical knowledge desirable.
Position Duties (essential functions denoted with an * )
Serves as primary point of contact to Centura's rural affiliate hospitals. The affiliates contact the liaison with issues, needs, requests, concerns and the liaison works to resolve those issues. These may be related to operations, personnel, clinical care, patient satisfaction, transfers, billing, compliance and a variety of other topics. The liaison either resolves the problem (if feasible) or connects the affiliate with the appropriate resource, then follows up to make sure the issue is resolved to the satisfaction of the affiliate. The liaison tracks these interactions so our team can engaged in shared learning on an ongoing basis in order to prevent reoccurrence or build partnerships to access the appropriate resources. The liaison leads the training and education of the outreach team in dealing with affiliate relations issues.*
Travels across Colorado and western Kansas regularly to meet with affiliate leadership (CEO, CNO, CFO, CIO, CMO) to build relationships and trust and keep up to date with facility and community needs. *
Develops new programs and services in response to affiliate needs. This involves meeting with vendors and maintaining an understanding of rural health products and services on the market. Understands pricing structures and engages in negotiations on behalf of the affiliate network. If necessary, works with supply chain team to add affiliates to Centura vendor contracts. *
Manages all aspects of the specialty clinic program. Meets with physicians and administrators regularly to set up new clinics. Reviews and ensures compliance with federal and state regulations. Conducts needs assessments in rural communities to determine if there is enough volume/need to support new clinic sites. Repeats the needs assessment annually in each community. This involves interaction with community members, hospital CEOs, clinic administrators, physicians, and other providers. Interacts with Centura legal and compliance teams to address issues as needed. Manages relationship with air charter company for 30+ flights per month.*
Exhibits at statewide conference and other events to promote Centura Health services, hospitals, programs, and resources.*
Designs collateral materials related to outreach programs and services, maintains outreach website, authors and distributes quarterly affiliate e-newsletter
Providers direction and oversight to Business Support IV position who serves as admin support to affiliate programs. Collects & analyzes data and reports on rural health performance metrics to Centura senior leadership, operating group presidents, and other stakeholders.*
