Department of Pediatrics Pediatric Critical Care Faculty Member
The Department of Pediatrics at the University of California, Davis is seeking to recruit two full-time academic pediatric intensivists to join our Division of 12 pediatric intensive care faculty. The UC Davis Children’s Hospital is the only the ACS Verified Children's Surgery Center currently in California and has a 24-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit/Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit.
The UC Davis Children’s Hospital is based on the UC Davis Health System campus in Sacramento, California and serves a population of over 1 million children in the Northern California, Central Valley and Western Nevada regions. Sacramento is an easily accessible, family-oriented city in close proximity to the San Francisco Bay area, Lake Tahoe and the Sierra Nevada Mountains, the California coast, and Napa Valley.
This position is open at the Assistant/Associate or Full Professor rank (commensurate with credentials) in either the Clinical X or Health Science Clinical Series. The candidate will be expected to participate in clinical care, teaching of medical students, residents and fellows, and research activities of the Department of Pediatrics and serve on departmental committees. The ideal applicant should have a healthy interest in academic medicine.
Minimum qualifications include a M.D./D.O. degree, board certification/eligibility in Pediatrics, board certification/eligibility in Pediatric Critical Care, and eligibility for a California medical license. Additionally, we expect candidates will have established or show promise to attain excellence in teaching and clinical care.
