The University of Pittsburgh is seeking a qualified Financial Research Administrator for the Medicine Department. The incumbent will negotiate budgets for clinical trial research contracts as well as NIH and foundation contracts; prepare CTO fiscal documents and PITT internal documents associated with initiating grants and contracts; prepare and submit MTA agreements when necessary, work closely with coordinators and faculty. The incumbent will be responsible for monthly reconciliation level reports via Department Manager database and Excel database. Manage all paperwork associated with pre and post award activities. Position requires ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Knowledge of Department Manager a plus. Must be able to create budgets in Excel using formulas. Excellent organization skills a must.

Additional Education and/or Experience Essential to the Position
Bachelor Degree in accounting, finance or related filed is required. In lieu of degree, 3-5 years of proven track record in Accounting, and Research Pre-and Post-Award experience. 1-2 year of administrative experience. The experience is necessary as this position must be able to work independently with minimal training and supervision. Supervisor relies heavily upon accurate reports and someone who can provide high level fiscal analysis. Department Manager essential and proficient in excel and word a must. Knowledge of ACCESS database a plus.
Good interpersonal and communications skills required. Prior experience handling sensitive information and meeting strict deadlines a plus.
