The eCR Coordinator Analyst V reports to the Center for Occupational and Environmental Health (COEH) in the Department of Public Health Sciences. The eCR Coordinator Analyst V supports the mission of the Communicable Disease Emergency Response Program (CDER) contract to support statewide disease surveillance and prevention in order to develop public health action and emergency response plans and recommendations in partnership with the Division of Communicable Disease Control ' Center for Infectious Disease (DCDC-CID) within the California Department of Public Health (CDPH).REQUIRED--Experience coordinating multiple diverse activities to ensure completion of projects, tasks and assignments with consideration of competing program demands in a high-pressure environment--Experience synthesizing diverse facts, opinion and materials into usable work plans--Experience using software products such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel--Experience with written, oral, electronic and in person communication with linguistic and cultural proficiency to technical and non-technical audiences--Experience communicating the role of public health, including the capabilities and limitations of information systems, within the health system and community to diverse audiences--Experience collaborating with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders including policy makers, health care, social services, end users, agency leaders and community, which includes senior-level decision makers and their immediate staff--Experience using relevant information, and individual judgment, to determine whether events or processes comply with applicable laws, regulations, standards or procedures. Further identify and develop standard operating procedures to utilize in specific situations--Experience with immunization, surveillance and case reporting, terminology, practices, and the supporting data elements --Experience with relevant public health reporting standards, health information systems and electronic data transfer methods, including HL7 --Experience with national initiatives such as Meaningful Use, and their impact on immunization registries, public health case reporting and health information exchange --Experience using automated software applications such as CAIR and CalREDIE (or other immunization registries and disease surveillance systems) and health-related vendor products such as EHRs--Experience with agreements, such as data use agreements and memorandums of understanding, that govern data access and sharing--Experience solving complex issues requiring coordination, use of technical ability, and knowledge of computer and information systems to evaluate alternatives with a high level of detail to work products--Experience understanding and applying public health laws, regulations, statutes, policies and procedures regarding public health and health information, including policies specific to the Immunization Program and public health case reportingSPECIAL REQUIREMENT - THIS POSITION MAY BE SUBJECT TO A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION, DRUG SCREEN, LIVE SCAN FINGERPRINTING, MEDICAL EVALUATION CLEARANCE, AND FUNCTIONAL CAPACITY ASSESSMENT
