Summary Description: The Technical Services and Systems Librarian implements processes for content access management in the Otto F. Linn Library. This position supervises digital initiatives and content development, and manages students and staff activities related to information/knowledge organization, access and standardization of metadata practices and/or special projects.
Technical Services (40%)
Manage the online Integrated Library System (ILS) and bibliographic procedures such as MARC, RDA, and OCLC Connexion for processing all library materials.
Identify, develop, and manage special and metadata projects such as post-system migrations clean up, gifts, and collection relocation projects.
Prepare and maintain accurate, up-to-date bibliographic records and statistics of all library holdings of print, electronic serials subscriptions, special collections and archives in the Greenstone Program.
Coordinate content development, digitization initiatives and library weeding projects.
Work closely with the Information Technology staff and the Alma/Primo Technical Administrator on issues impacting access management of library resources.
Represent the library on local, state, and regional automation committees such as the Orbis Cascade Alliance-Primo Standardization Project Group, and serve as the library’s database manager and authority on automation issues
Provide technology support in a complex library systems networked environment, which includes ILS, subscription databases, proprietary and open source software and related cloud-based applications.
Train and assist faculty and students in the use of various Learning Management Systems (LMS) including Taskstream assessment/accreditation software, Moodle, and Panopto lecture capture/video content management platform.
Supervision and Training (10%)
Supervise and train students and staff members working on bibliographic and content access management activities.
Review and evaluate staff and student work.
Professional Service and Engagement (10%)
Serve on/participate in task forces and teams as appropriate.
Network, collaborate and actively participate in local, regional, national, or international organizations regarding professional library issues.
Represent and promote Warner Pacific College in local, statewide, regional, national, or international organizations, as appropriate.
Be present in the office on a daily basis unless arrangements are made with the employee’s direct supervisor.
Contribute to the support and implementation of the College Strategic Plan
Participate in Warner Pacific College professional development opportunities.

Aptitude for technology; willingness to learn new systems, software, and data manipulation tools
Perform other duties as assigned.
Master's degree from an ALA accredited library science program or ALA approved foreign equivalent.
Demonstrated experience in using ILS, RDA in MARC, OCLC Connexion and related procedures.
Minimum of two years of experience with automated library systems, preferably Ex Libris’ Alma and Primo.
Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skill
Demonstrate a strong customer and results orientation, forward thinking and flexibility.
Commitment to diversity and ability to work independently, and in varied teams within a dynamic library and college environment.
Experience working with diverse populations.
Demonstrated experience with information technology, Learning Management Systems, and/or bibliographic and content access management procedures in an academic library.
Working knowledge of various resource description/access standards, schemes, and formats including but not limited to: Dublin Core, RDA-XML, MARC, FRBR and similar authority formats.
Experience performing administrative functions with an integrated library system and project management in implementing news policies and procedures.
Prior supervisory experience
