Dartmouth seeks an Assistant Director to join its Dartmouth College Fund team. The Assistant Director will be responsible for raising annual funds personally and through alumni volunteers from a portfolio of young alumni classes. This includes goal setting, strategic planning, and responsibility for cultivation, solicitation and stewardship activities. This position will recruit, organize, and motivate staff and volunteers to raise restricted and unrestricted gifts as well as increase participation in the annual fund. This will include management of the senior class gift program.
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree with a minimum of two years of experience in a college or university development operation. Other attributes include excellent communication and negotiation skills, strong leadership, volunteer management and project management skills; excellent interpersonal and organizational skills; goal oriented, creativity and openness to new ideas and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Technical literacy; strong experience with desktop and database applications are important with demonstrated analytical and strategic thinking capabilities. Commitment to the annual fund is preferred.
