THIS IS A SCHOOL-BASED POSITION
The Clinical Social Worker I serves as primary therapist for children with mental health disorders and their caregivers. Therapy is provided to the child and the family on-site in the child’s school. The clinician is responsible for advocacy and case coordination with school personnel and with other community programs, as appropriate. The clinician may assist in the development of training materials and curricula for in-service, school-based, and other community-based training. The clinician may provide staff consultation and training for under-and graduate level interns.
Master's degree from an accredited school of Social Work is required.
Must be licensed in the State of Maryland, by the Board of Social Work Examiners, Maryland State Department of Health and Mental Hygiene as a Certified Social Worker - Clinical (LCSW-C).
Must have at least 2 years experience related to providing services to children in the child welfare population with developmental and emotional disturbance.
