The Departments of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology,and Pathology at the University of Maryland, School of Medicine, are continuing an expansion. Highly qualified individuals willbe consideredat the Assistant, Associate and Full Professor levels. The departments have significantstrengths incancer biology, cell signaling, structural biology and drug screening, translationalbiology, and imaging, and a highly successful graduate training program. The expansion will include positions insolid tumor biology for several cancers. However, we are particularly interested in investigators utilizing biochemical, cellular, animal and omics approaches to understand protein and cell function.
Successful candidates areexpected toestablishand maintain an active/fundedresearchprogram, and participate in departmental teaching and service opportunities. The Medical School and Department are highly ranked with respect to NIH funding. The Departments provide excellent laboratory facilities, competitivesalaries and startup packages, and access to numerous corefacilities. Applicants should hold a Ph.D. or M.D., have substantial research experience, and a strong desire to participate in an interactive, multidisciplinary research environment.
