Serves as main staff member for library service desk during regular weekday hours to provide customer service and information about library resources; night and weekend hours may be required.
May be responsible for opening and/or closing the library on assigned days or as-needed.
Supports Document Delivery/Interlibrary Loan activities, including monitoring of requests, placing and fulfilling orders, documenting work performed in appropriate logs, and assisting the Coordinator with statistics, billing, report generation
Provides support to Librarians including assistance with data compilation and presentation
Provides support at outreach and educational events.
Provides support in large classroom-based trainings.
Provides assistance to student workers to ensure quality customer service.
Provides smartphone support related to medical information apps and resources.
Provides or contributes to reports on library activities such as entrances and reference data.
Provides customer service at medical library service desk.
Maintains organization and neatness of library.
Accurately tracks and reshelves print materials.
Assists library users in selecting and accessing appropriate information resources to meet their needs.
Contributes to the overall improvement and quality of library services through close communication with management.
Collects payments at service desk as needed, following appropriate cash-handling procedures
Performs other work as assigned.

Bachelors degree, with preference for candidates with a degree in physical/biomedical science, social/behavioral sciences, or language/literature backgrounds.
