The Gibson D. Lewis Health Science Library of the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth (UNTHSC) invites applications for the position of Library Associate Director. We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to fill this position, which is primarily responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of a busy unit with 14 professional librarians and an equal number of support staff.
Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:
* Supervises Librarians responsible for and assists with managing a range of library operations, including but not limited to acquisitions, cataloging, serials, reference, instruction, clinical support, outreach, access services, and digital/technology services. * Determines library budget priorities in collaboration with the Library Director and others, and authorizes expenditures in the Director's absence. * Resolves operational and service issues as they arise, both alone and in consultation with the Library Director. * Coordinates workflows and aligns staff assignments according to service needs and library priorities.
