St. Mary’s College of Maryland at Historic St. Mary’s City is accepting résumés for the position of Assistant Vice President of Information Technology. This position is responsible for the effective operation of the campus IT networks, services, and centrally maintained computer infrastructure; computer security; wireless networking. Works collaboratively with the director of the library, academic departments, students, administration, and external organizations. The position provides leadership and management oversight for all aspects of technology information resources and services, including policy, standards, practices, and security measures. Plans, organizes and manages the overall activities of the technology staff to provide internal customer service for users; reviews, plans, and evaluates past, present, and future technology services and needs on campus.

Master’s degree preferred; management level experience in a higher education environment and a minimum of five years’ experience in administration of information technologies, including Internet technologies; knowledge in management, deployment and integration of diverse platforms preferred; broad understanding of general business and management practices: knowledge and experience with Enterprise Resource Management Systems, data warehouses, and IT infrastructure for teaching and learning preferred; information technology experience within higher education; and able to demonstrate a proven record of excellent leadership and communication skills and the ability to create, enhance and work well in a service-driven, team-oriented environment. Any combination of acceptable education and experience, which has provided the necessary knowledge and skills to fulfill the requirements of this position, may be considered. Salary is commensurate with education and experience. Employment will be contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check.
