The University of Maryland School of Social Work is accepting applications for a ResearchAssistant Professor, non-tenure track faculty position, within TheInstitute for Innovation and Implementation (The Institute). This is a primarily grant-fundedposition under the auspices of multiple research projects being conducted atThe Institute. Our goal is to facilitate the translation of evidence-based andpromising practices to the field, and to draw from their implementationsuccesses and challenges to inform and conduct research. Thisposition will oversee research and evaluations related to child, adolescent, and young adult mental health, system of care, primarycare/behavioral health integration and implementation efforts related toworkforce development in children's behavioral health. Candidatesinterested in this position should have an earned doctorate in social work or relatedsocial science discipline, experience in managing research projects, and expertisein program evaluation of children's mental healthservices. The Institute for Innovation andImplementation works to bridge gaps across science, policy, and practice toimprove outcomes for and with children, youth, young adults, and families. Overthe past decade, The Institute has been involved with many key children'sinitiatives in Maryland and across the nation, many of which have beensupported by federal grants, waivers, and contracts from the U.S. Department ofHealth and Human Services' Administration for Children and Families (ACF),Office of Juvenile Justice & Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP), Center forMedicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), and Substance Abuse and Mental HealthServices Administration (SAMHSA). The Institute serves as the coordinatingpartner of The Technical Assistance Network for Children's Behavioral Health(The TA Network), a SAMHSA-funded national technical assistance centersupporting more than 70 grantees across the country. It is also a core partnerin the National Wraparound Implementation Center. In Maryland, The Instituteworks closely with the Departments of Health, Human Services, JuvenileServices, and Education, supporting and informing systems-level reform efforts.
