JVS is currently seeking a Job Coach to provide employment-related supportive services designed to orient, train, and/or sustain individuals with disabilities in new and existing employment opportunities. This includes communicating with key stakeholders about an individual's specific needs and providing supportive coaching and follow-up services to the individual. This position is 15 hours per week.

Remains calm, patient, and supportive in stressful or time-sensitive situations?
Is computer savvy and proficient with Microsoft Office programs, e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook?
What would you do?
Assists individuals with severe disabilities learn and develop self-sufficiency in completing their assigned job duties.
Provides employment-related support services to individuals with severe disabilities at their employment locations, by phone, or through other mediums.
Works with the employer to provide assistance to the individual in job orientation, training, and follow-up.
Demonstrates empathy and concern in client interactions, where appropriate.
Acts as a liaison between the program and the assigned employers.
Communicates with the Program Manager regarding client progress and barriers to progress.
Meets with program staff, and other Agency stakeholders, to accommodate a wide range of client needs.
Maintains detailed records pertaining to client program and employer development.
Completes monthly progress reports and client staffing in conjunction with other professional staff.

Obtained a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program or equivalent work experience.
Gained one or more years of related work experience.
What are you able to do?
Maintain a flexible schedule that allows for evening or weekend hours to support client needs.
As this position requires site visits to locations which may or may not be accessible by public transportation, must be able to drive, have a valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and reliable access to a vehicle to travel in the Chicago metropolitan area.
