Responsible for managing relationships with environmental regulatory and legislative policy makers to advocate use of natural gas, prevent rules impairing use of natural gas and support new revenue generating services and products. Interfaces with customers to assess their needs to comply with environmental requirements. Will also interact directly with customers to support and assist them in their use of our existing and future products and services in compliance with environmental regulations, and with environmental regulators regarding rule development, implementation, and compliance issues.
-Provides strategic and tactical external environmental advocacy in environmental regulatory and legislative proceedings to generate new revenue and set the ground work for future business growth.
-Provides input/feedback from customers and regulators to the internal team for the development and implementation of new products and services that will give the company or the customer the opportunity to derive environmental benefits.
-Anticipates, monitors and proactively influences the outcome of environmental/air quality regulations and policies that may impact the marketability and use of our existing and future products and services. Works closely with environmental/air quality regulators to ensure natural gas is not disadvantaged from an environmental/air quality perspective.
-Responsible for developing and providing environmental/air quality strategies and services to support our customer's use of our existing and future products and services. This position is responsible for making our existing and future products and services easier to use, including assisting customers to identify, address and manage their natural gas environmental/air quality requirements.
-Identifies and prioritizes regulatory and legislative strategies and proposals with respect to environmental/air quality issues affecting customers' use of our existing and future products and services.
-Identifies, seeks, and obtains air quality rule changes, rule implementation modifications, and compliance options to facilitate customer use of our existing and future products and services.
-Helps develop (and, were appropriate, markets) tools to cost-effectively assist customers in permitting and using our existing and future products and services (e.g., handbooks, seminars, software, etc.).
-Educates customer contact employees on air quality issues so they can effectively assist customers to use our existing and future products and services.
Local travel is required.
Bachelor in Engineering preferred with at least 5 years of experience in the field of air quality regulation, and 3 years of experience with customer related issues. The successful candidate should have proficiency in Excel and Access database management, working with market research and trend data, and possess critical analytical to assess the potential impacts of air quality rules and regulations on our products and services and our customers.
