NuWave Technology, Inc. of Coldwater, Ohio has a need for an experienced Cabling Infrastructure Installer for installations and upgrades of Structured Cabling Systems/Outside Plant Data & Telecommunications Infrastructure for commercial and residential projects throughout the Ohio/Indiana area.
Looking for a qualified technician to install, terminate, and test low voltage applications/infrastructures for but not limited to network cabling & fiber optic for indoor/outdoor settings, access control cabling, CCTV systems, paging systems, etc. Individual must have experience with terminating, splicing, etc all types of fiber optic cable.
Other tasks may be ask of the CII to assist with other areas of this service based company when required. The desired (CII) should have a basic to mid-level knowledge and experience working with network addressing.
The CII will be in charge of the onsite phases of structured cabling systems installation projects assigned. Responsible for ensuring compliance with specifications, job scope, and time & material based projects. The installer will perform work in the field and provide direction when needed to technicians, helpers, subcontractors, etc.

Experience in installation, terminating, testing and documentation associated with network cabling - CAT5e, CAT6, Copper, Fiber Optic, Coax.
Ability to interpret CAD design drawings and adhere to BICSI and EIA / TIA design criteria and installation standards.
Understanding of telecommunications infrastructure, voice, data and audio/video applications.
Ability to proactively identify and analyze problems, issues, requirements and/or needs; determine impact on the project and recommend solutions.
Previous Data/Telecommunications Infrastructure project experience. Must have technical training and minimum five years of experience.
Position requires but not limited to climbing ladders, lifting materials, working in tunnels, manholes, cable enclosure areas, ceilings, and/or heights. Includes regular use of hand tools and test equipment.
Position may require occasional travel and overnight stay beyond our normal 2 hour service area.
Electrical background a plus, but not necessary
Must have valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
Demonstrate effective communication skills with customers, supervisors and coworkers.
Act as the liaison for operational interface with customer representatives.
Maintain a professional appearance, positive attitude, and exceptional work ethic.
Knowledge of methods, techniques and documentation requirements for installing, testing, configuring, trouble shooting and repairing communication systems and associated cabling.
Minimum of five (5) years’ experience running projects in the telecommunications or a related technical or construction field.
Must be proficient with a computer and be skilled with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and MS Project).
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance preferred but not required.
Solid overall telecom background with BICSI certification
Ability to adhere to demanding project deadlines and attention to detail.
Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
Normal hours are, but not limited to, 7:30a-4:30p Monday-Friday. Individual may be required to work after hours or weekends.
This position is included in our 24/7 network monitoring. Individual will be required to be on weekend rotations.
