The Massachusetts Child Psychiatric Access Project (MCPAP) is seeking a part-time Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist with the possibility for additional hours to join a team of clinicians at UMass Memorial Medical Center, the academic teaching hospital and clinical partner of The University of Massachusetts Medical School. We are a national leader in public sector psychiatry, we integrate our clinical, research, teaching and community partnership activities to help individuals and families transform their lives through recovery from mental illness and addiction. We are the largest provider of psychiatric services in central Massachusetts with over 250 faculty and 2,000 staff.
The candidate will spend 20 hours as an Attending Psychiatrist for Massachusetts Child Psychiatry Access Project (MCPAP). The clinical responsibilities include working with a dedicated multidisciplinary team to provide face-to-face and phone consultations to assist referring area community primary care physicians with their patients’ psychiatric diagnosis and psychopharmacological and non-psychopharmacological treatment recommendations.
The goal of MCPAP is to improve access to treatment for children with behavioral health needs and their families by making child psychiatry services accessible to primary care providers across Massachusetts.
