Administrative Technology Services (ATS) of HUIT seeks an experienced, energetic, and collaborative Application Developer to join a development team responsible for the technical analysis, development and on-going support of the University's HR systems: PeopleSoft HCM (HR, Payroll, Benefits, Pension, Time & Labor, and Absence Management), a document imaging system, training and development application and Staff recruiting system.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Performing requirements analysis, technical design, development, testing, deployment, and support of new software modules and the enhancement of existing ones.
Providing 24/7 production support and support ongoing release schedules.
Contributing equally to the design and development of core architectural components, the development of PeopleSoft modules and the definition of back end database needs

Union: 00 - Non Union, Exempt or Temporary
BS/BA in related field (e.g., computer science, engineering, information systems) or equivalent experience
Current technical experience to include:
PeopleSoft HRMS Required, versions 9+ desired
Expert knowledge of the PeopleSoft Internet Architecture, PeopleTools 8.55+ PeopleSoft Portal 9.1, Weblogic and Tuxedo 6
5-8 years of extensive programming experience with PeopleCode, Application Engine, Component Interfaces, Business Interlinks, Webservices, XML Publisher and SQR.
5-8 years of experience with SQL on any database (ORACLE, MSSQL)
Development platforms: Windows, UNIX, Linux and VMWare.
The following skills are strongly preferred:
Hand on experience with PeopleSoft Absence Management module is highly desirable.
Must have strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
Ability to work closely with business owners to clarify project scope and specifications, including providing and evaluating alternative options where appropriate.
Must be flexible and able to work independently or in a team environment
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Independent and self-motivated with the ability to handle multiple tasks
Ability to prioritize, take initiative and work well under pressure
Experience with full software lifecycle (requirements, analysis, design, construction and testing) in Agile/Scrum environment
Ability to independently translate business requirements analysis into technical design specifications and development.
