The Metro Regional Diagnostic and Treatment Center (RDTC) at Children's Hospital of New Jersey (CHoNJ) is seeking a second full-time BC/BE child abuse pediatrician to join our team. The Metro RDTC is the only resource providing coordinated medical and mental health care for maltreated children in Essex County, NJ, and covers 25% of child abuse cases in the state. We are the only such center in New Jersey that is co-located in a free-standing nationally accredited CAC, which allows easy communication with our partners in the prosecutor's office and child protective services.
Metro RDTC physicians provide both inpatient and outpatient consultations for suspected abuse and neglect. We are a busy service with good relationships with our pediatric emergency department and subspecialty services and are planning to grow our connections with the other tertiary care hospitals in the region. The Metro RDTC is active in education for pediatric residents, pediatric ER fellows, child protective services, and law enforcement.
