The Department of Human Development and Family Studies at Purdue University is searching for an Assistant/Associate Professor of family relationships and dynamics. The department has a lifespan perspective with particular strengths in family processes pertaining to young children and adults. Thus, candidates who focus on middle childhood, adolescence, or emerging adulthood would address particular departmental needs; however, candidates focused on other developmental periods will be considered.
The successful candidate will be responsible for initiating and maintaining a strong research program; seeking external research funding; mentoring graduate students; and engaging in service activities. In addition to teaching undergraduate and graduate courses pertaining to family processes, the successful candidate will be expected to teach additional courses to meet departmental needs.
HDFS is located in the College of Health and Human Sciences, affording many opportunities to develop interdisciplinary collaborations.
