The Department of Biological Chemistry in the School of Medicine at University of California, Irvine, invites applications for a state-funded, tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level. Exceptional candidates at the Associate Professor level will also be considered. We are seeking outstanding individuals in all fields of cancer molecular biology. We are particularly interested in candidates studying molecular mechanisms of cell signaling and genetics/epigenetics of tumorigenesis (including aberrant nuclear architecture, genomic instability, and RNA-based gene regulation), tumor suppressors, oncogene discovery (genomics and proteomics-including molecular and biochemical profiling), cell fate determination, tumor microenvironment, and malignant transformation. However, outstanding candidates from all areas of basic and translational cancer research will be considered. Salary and rank will be commensurate with experience and expectations The individual will be associated with the Chao Comprehensive Cancer Center at UC-Irvine and is expected to lead a vigorous research program of high caliber and participate in the training of graduate and medical students.
