The Science Education Associate pursues funding opportunities, conducts and collaborates on educational research projects, and disseminates the results to the STEM education community. They will also work as a member of Carleton’s Science Education Resource Center (SERC) web team to convene or support professional development workshops, to develop web-based resources to support our community and activities, and to maintain the SERC collections.
The Science Education Associate works closely with SERC staff and other collaborators to support effective science teaching and learning. They will work independently and with collaborators on web authoring and professional development projects covering topics within the geosciences, STEM, and education.
This is a full-time, 1.0 FTE, regular, 12-month position.

The successful candidate must possess a Ph.D. in geoscience or a related field. Have the ability to design, conduct, and manage educational research projects. Able to make several trips per year to support workshops, make presentations, and conduct evaluation activities. Preferred qualities include demonstrated ability to effectively manage and develop web content and some prior teaching experience.
