The Department of Radiology – Molecular Imaging and Therapy Services is seeking a Scheduler that will ensure that all patients are scheduled appropriately and efficiently diagnostic and therapy services. He/she will provide general patient information, specific prep instructions and directions to procedure areas. The Scheduler will also resolve all related issues, directs calls, and confirms appointments.

Schedule all outpatient procedures and in-patient procedures for Molecular Imaging and Therapy Services according to patient needs and specified scheduling parameters. Must screen patients according to the guidelines and give pre-procedure instructions for blood work and instructions for fasting, as well as directions on where to obtain prep kits when required.
Reschedule and cancel appointments as requested. Contact the service area if a cancellation is made one day before or on the same day of the appointment, so the appointment time can be reassigned. Notifies physician office assistant of all cancellations
Maintain the necessary daily backup records in the form of a neat, accurate, and legible logbook, by printing the schedules when necessary, and by making individual prints of schedules that may require further analysis or follow-up in the future.
Work as part of a team by cooperating with other Radiology staff members and all Center personnel. Participate in training, orientation and mentorship for new schedulers.
Follow downtime procedures by maintaining downtime materials, including monthly OASIS printouts by modality and logbooks. Continue to schedule patients during downtime if possible. Maintain a list of scheduled appointments in downtime manual. Immediately updates scheduling systems when computer systems become available.

High School Diploma
Experience with computers, preferably with scheduling software
Familiarity with Medical Terminology
