The Compliance Consultant assists in the management and oversight of the standards and requirements related to Feinberg School of Medicine’s Disclosure and Professional Integrity Policy. Through contractual arrangements with affiliated entities, the Consultant will also assist in the administration of the conflict of interest policies promulgated by Northwestern Memorial Healthcare (NMHC), Children’s Memorial Medical Center (CMMC), and the Shirley Ryan Ability Lab (SRAB). Additionally, the Consultant will assist in the planning and administration of the Feinberg Compliance Program.
Master and take a lead role in the administration of the joint electronic Annual Disclosure Survey process and train the other joint affiliate team members, as needed.
In collaboration with the system developer(s), design (scope and objectives development and user requirement definition/ documentation), build (mapping of functional requirements to design), test (create test plans/scripts, complete functional and usability testing), and run (go-live, maintenance, monitoring, and support) processes to enhance system capabilities.
Actively engage in the oversight of further development of the joint electronic Annual Disclosure Survey to incorporate the addition of new affiliates and application enhancements.
Oversee general quality assurance activities for department’s work product; lead all test planning and test execution efforts for annual go-live.
Lead the disclosure review preparation, reporting, and action item activities.
Ensure user satisfaction through quality assurance review and user assessments; perform advanced user go-live support as needed.
Develop and ensure adherence to all project communication plans (users, department facilitators, chief/chairs, and leadership).
Communicate with and train users, facilitators and reviewers on the use of the application and disclosure review capabilities / functionality.
Create, organize, maintain, and update all application and project implementation documentation.
Lead the full review, analysis, and upload of Feinberg disclosures to a publically accessible website.
Assist in the creation and maintenance of a formal, documented Feinberg Compliance Plan, including the development of educational material, compliance reporting, and maintaining an understanding of regulatory trends and changes in laws that affect Feinberg conflict of interest and compliance policies.
Serve as the primary liaison for office administrative matters, including affiliate invoice preparation, budget preparation and reconciliation processes, and facility and supply requests.
Perform related joint survey and compliance project duties as required or assigned.
Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree in a major such as business or health care administration or related field; OR the appropriate combination of education, training, and experience,
4 to 5 years of progressively responsible professional experience in data or systems analysis, systems implementation, process improvement, compliance administration, or related field.
Experience with the healthcare and/or compliance industry in either a provider or academic setting.

Proficient in Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Internet Explorer, and Adobe Acrobat.
Master’s Degree in business or health care administration or related field.
