Manages individualized, goal-directed nursing care through the use of the nursing process in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
Demonstrates knowledge and skill in the care of patients with venous access devices and by providing the specialized services of vascular access device evaluation and placement.
Care delivery is based on criteria that are both age, weight and population appropriate.
Documents according to specialty, unit, and hospital standards of practice.
Collaborates with other healthcare team members, leadership, and medical staff to provide safe patient care and provide education related to the care and maintenance of vascular access devices.
Responsible for compliance of regulatory standards and report card items.
Graduate of an approved school of nursing required.
â¢Twoyears acute care experience
â¢CRNI certification preferred or ability to obtain within 18 months of hire.
â¢One year PICC Line placement with minimum of 100 successful PICC line insertions preferred
Ultrasound placement experience preferred
Licensure as a Registered Nurse in Montana or a Nurse Licensure Compact state required.Within 30 days of establishment of permanent residence in Montana, must have Registered Nurse licensure from Montana.
American Heart Association BCLS Healthcare Provider certification required.
Advanced Life Support courses required for specialty areas as identified:
