TITLE OF POSITION/RANK: P/T Technical Assistant (Media)
DEPARTMENT/DIVISION: The Center of Learning Resources, Library, Media, and Instructional Technology
RESPONSIBILITIES: The P/T Technical Assistant will maintain classroom/auditorium technologies and provide technical assistance to faculty and staff. S/he will troubleshoot AV classroom technologies; install classroom technologies and cabling; and operate applications for web broadcasting. The P/T Technical Assistant will also work with technical hourly staff, as needed; support mobile technologies in the classroom and open labs; and maintain and prepare AV inventory. Lifting instructional equipment that may weigh up to 50 lbs. is required. The work schedule will be: Tuesday-Thursday: 5:00 pm-9:30 pm and Friday: 1:00 pm-5:00 pm.
QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of a high school or equivalency diploma and one year of experience in the area of specialty is required. S/he must be able to support the use of computers in conjunction with other AV devices. Knowledge of Microsoft products is required. S/he must also have the ability to demonstrate technical competence when working with faculty or staff. Recent knowledge of AV equipment and peripherals is required.
POSITION EFFECTIVE: The position will remain open until filled.
SALARY & BENEFITS: The starting salary is $36,535 (pro-rated) plus excellent benefits.
