A Director, Supportive Services is needed to lead the Arthur O. Eve Higher Education Opportunity Program (HEOP), a $1.6 million sponsored program that facilitates access to higher education with financial aid, academic and other supports designed to meet the special needs of students from disadvantaged backgrounds. Students eligible for HEOP have high potential for successful collegiate experience but will generally rank low on such traditional measures of collegiate admissions as SAT scores, high school average, or class standing.
The Director, Supportive Services reports to the Dean of the School of Education. In consultation with the Dean and other University leaders, the Director, Supportive Services is expected to set goals that are consistent with the mission of the office; organize resources; direct service delivery; and create collaborative partnerships with university offices and academic units to foster success of HEOP-eligible students. The Director, Supportive Services is responsible for the financial management of the program. This includes creating budgets for the program and monitoring all expenditures for the grant in compliance with federal, state and institutional guidelines.
