Reporting to the Director of Health and Counseling, the incumbent will be an important part of our interdisciplinary Health and Counseling team striving to support student success and wellness. Specific duties include: supervising University Health Service (UHS) and Counseling Center administrative staff, including front desk, purchasing and budgeting in both departments, and insurance and billing in UHS; working as part of the Health and Counseling leadership team to improve departmental integration, efficiency, and improve the experience of students and others served; staffing (recruitment, hiring), training, performance management and annual evaluation of administrative staff; performing other duties as assigned. The incumbent will have access to highly confidential information and will be expected to perform duties with discretion and sensitivity adhering to all state and federal laws.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree is required. Advanced education (e.g. MS, MBA, MPH), or
certification (e.g. Health Care Administration) is preferred. Three years progressively responsible administrative experience required (health care setting preferred) with a combination of budgeting, project management, accounting, payroll, purchasing, supervision, or personnel work preferred.
This position requires proactive planning and independent problem solving skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to customer satisfaction.
Proficient computer skills, knowledge of electronic medical records, and knowledge of medical terminology, use of quality assurance principles and tools, and advanced organizational abilities are highly desirable.
Experience with EHR and peoplesoft preferred.
