This position is a mid level, collateral, non-tenure track faculty position in the area of pediatric Urology. The faculty member should have clinical interests that complement and expand existing expertise in the Division. The faculty member will also support the division with teaching responsibilities at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
1.Teaching Faculty member will have teaching responsibilities in all areas of urology and applied anatomy and physiology to medical students, residents, and allied health professionals. Involvement in local, regional, and international meetings is expected.
2.Research Faculty member will assist in ongoing research and clinical trials as appropriate.
3.Service Faculty member will serve on departmental, College, and/or University committees as necessary, as well as in a professional capacity in their field, e.g., reviewer, conference organizer, etc. 4.Clinical The faculty member will be expected to build and maintain a busy patient centered clinical practice with focus on advanced pediatric urology. This includes both inpatient and outpatient management of all pediatric urological diagnoses and operative procedures. Opportunities will exist for expansion of VCU Division of Urology services to outlying clinics and surrounding communities. Special interests or sub-specialization is encouraged. A multidisciplinary approach is encouraged with our colleagues in pediatric nephrology, general pediatrics, transplant medicine, and others.
