LCOH is a nationally renowned psychiatric center of excellence committed to providing state of the art care to children through older adults at all levels of care. LCOH is part of the UC Health network, and also has affiliations with Cincinnati Children's Hospital and the Mayo Clinic. It is a charter member of the National Network of Depression Centers.
Directs designated research studies at the Lindner Center of HOPE. Serves as primary or sub-investigator on clinical research studies. Insures that clinical research studies are conducted according to regulatory and Good Clinical Practice Guidelines.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide direction in the implementation and management of inpatient and outpatient clinical research studies
Prepares grant submissions and assists in other grant submissions as co-investigator. Serves as either primary or sub-investigator on clinical trials.
Performs assessments using rating scales and collects data in accordance with the study protocol.
May provide diagnostic and treatment services in treating patients in clinical research studies.
Participates in data analysis and manuscript preparations, attends scientific meetings and presents research data.
Provide clinical supervision to research assistants.
Participate in the Research Committee meetings
Assist with the development and implementation of operating policies and procedures to ensure compliance with established practices
Assist in monitoring Lindner Center of HOPE faculty, administration and staff to ensure they meet medical education and regulatory requirements for participation in clinical research
Supports business development
Medical degree and completion of psychiatry residency training. Must be a board certified psychiatrist, and have a current Ohio license to practice medicine. License must be in good standing. Five years of experience writing grants and conducting and/or managing clinical trials in the mental health field.
OR doctoral degree in psychology, social work, or other related field and at least ten years of post-graduate experience writing grants and conducting and/or managing clinical trials in the mental health field.
Ability to work collaboratively with other staff in the acquisition, implementation and monitoring of clinical trials
Effective leadership skills and the ability to build a strong departmental team. Function effectively as a team member with other staff members of the Lindner Center of HOPE.
Ability to enthusiastically follow and model the Lindner Center of HOPE mission, vision and values.
