Description Responsible for event and facility management of Olympic Sports regular and post-season activities, especially women's soccer, women's lacrosse, men's and women's tennis, and indoor and outdoor track. Support the Assistant Athletic Director, Facilities & Event Management with the coordination of building maintenance and field services. Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for game management and facility management aspects of assigned sports (ex. soccer, lacrosse, men's/women's tennis, indoor/outdoor track). Work in conjunction with university plant operations and grounds crew to ensure the fields and facilities are prepared to host scheduled events Create a plan for the operation of assigned events and work with internal and external departments to ensure execution of assignments related to event Including, but not limited to sports medicine, marketing, video/radio and television, director of operations for assigned sports, game officials (per SEC and NCAA regulations), plant/grounds, concessions, IMG sports marketing and sponsorship, VUPD, traffic and parking, etc. Assist in the game operations aspects of football, men's and women's basketball, and baseball as directed by Assistant AD, Facilities & Event Management. Responsible for assigned area of home football operation, as well as serving as contact for First Aid and Life Flight prior to and during the event Responsible for assigned areas during men's and women's basketball games, including oversight of suite/premium seating and concourse management Assist with baseball as needed, including serving a vital role in the event of hosting Regionals and/or Super Regionals Direct supervision and direction of one full-time facility assistant for assigned facility/event management tasks Coordinate repairs and maintenance of buildings, fields and grounds. Plan and recommend facility improvements and/or upgrades. Daily management of tennis center Maintain cleaning standards and perform daily building survey Membership services – contract time, court reservations, payment Manage equipment Manage tennis facility budget for repairs, improvements, etc. Assist with scheduling of practice times and other facility usage Lead 'fields' meeting, to determine needs of coaches each week in regards to field preparations and game management. Coordinate TV set-up for assigned sports Meet with television director/producer in advance to determine needs to televise event Create a logistical plan to execute the needs of the television representatives Evaluate staffing needs to assist in production and recruit appropriate staffing to fill needs. Determine needs and manage credentials/access for TV crew Serve as the liaison between television production and university plant to determine and fulfill needs to execute televised event (ex: electrical needs, establishing television compound, etc.) Work with television production and director of sport operations to create timeline Athletics liaison for event support staff, including concessions, guest services, VUPD, LifeFlight, bookstore, marketing, IMG, NCC, ticketing, custodial, etc. for assigned sports Assist with parking lot management (patrol, ticket writing, etc.) As necessary, assist Assistant Athletic Director, Facilities & Event Management as liaison for Plant Operations and Housekeeping in building maintenance issues. Maintain daily cleaning standards and perform daily tours of building(s) checking cleaning standards and maintenance items. Processing and distributing work orders to address facility needs. Maintain working relationship and coordinate logistics with Plant Operations, campus groups, and other VU Athletic departments. Serve as back-up for Assistant AD, Facilities & Event Management as needed. Responsible for assisting with any NCAA, NIT, SEC, etc. events hosted by Vanderbilt University, as assigned. Comply with NCAA and SEC rules and regulations. Perform other duties as requested by the Assistant AD, Facilities & Event
