Job Description:Reporting to the Director of Clinical Financial Services (CFS), the position is responsible for directing strategic planning, design, development, and support of Patient Access Services (PAS) to enhance revenue generating opportunities. In collaboration with the Director of CFS, and through positive working relationships with operational and clinical leadership, jointly directs the effective alignment between all front end activities, financial clearing, financial counseling, appointment scheduling, registration, referral management and messaging activities in a hybrid of centralized and decentralized settings. In conjunction with the CFS Director, will create, train and oversee the development and implementation of new policies and procedures as they relate to PAS workflows. Miniumum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, or related business area and three years of professional accounting experience, of which at least one is supervisory; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. Preferred Education and Experience: Master's in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, or related field plus 4-6 years of previous experience in an administrative role in a health care setting or graduation from a 4 year college with similar majors plus 8-10 years prior experience in an administrative role in a health care setting is preferred. Ideal candidate will possess knowledge of the organization, functions and various programs typically associated with Academic Medical Centers (AMCs); strong understanding of front end operations, including front desk and contact center management theory and practice in a large, multi-location environment; strong knowledge of customer care processes and techniques; knowledge of health care delivery systems and medical insurance plans; extensive knowledge of contact center management theory and practice in a large, multi-location environment; knowledge of development of multi-channel client communications; management and development of patient access services management and staff. Ideal candidate will posses the ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast paced, high demand, team oriented environment; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; excellent management and problem-solving skills is preferred; ability to think strategically and identify key factors for ongoing success; ability to manage several projects simultaneously and meet aggressive time frames; preparation and delivery of presentations to senior and mid-level management; ability to define and sell ideas and recommendations to senior management; excellent leadership, motivational and conflict resolution skills. Strong analytical and organizational skills are preferred. Ability to respond and develop programs quickly and be flexible with changing procedures is preferred. Expertise in conducting contact center financial analysis for all systems/processes and make recommendations on most efficient contact center financial models and applications is desirable.
