The Associate Director of Student Leaderships main goal is to foster student leadership development though local community engagement experiences. This position will work towards building and sustaining leadership development programs for the Center of Community and Civic Engagement (CCCE) at Carleton. An additional aim is to foster community relationships and cultivate student leadership and an ethic of community engagement across the Carleton campus.
The Associate Director of Student Leadership will coordinate CCCE Fellow hiring, training, and supervision of students participating in ongoing civic engagement projects. These projects include supporting local schools’ ongoing volunteer programs including after school tutoring, tutoring hotline, and mentoring initiatives.
This is a full-time, 1.0 FTE, regular, 12-month position.

The successful candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and have at least 5 – 7 years of experience working with student leadership and student development issues. Experience supervising students, working with community engagement, and a demonstrated commitment to civic engagement in multiple contexts.
Preferred qualities include a Master’s Degree and experience in and understanding of residential, Liberal Arts College life, and student development is desirable.
