Cornell University invites nominations and applications for the position of Director for Cornell Abroad. Reporting to the Vice Provost for International Affairs, the director will provide leadership, input and direction for Global Cornell initiatives focused on international academic opportunities for Cornell students, especially but not only undergraduates.

The next Director for Cornell Abroad will cultivate and direct the implementation of strategies that expand global partnerships and develop high-quality programs that offer Cornell students challenging and rewarding learning opportunities across the world. Since many faculty and academic units on campus have also developed, and continue to develop, programming, partnerships and relationships with universities around the globe, the Director will work closely with the Vice Provost for International Affairs, the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education, and other senior leadership across campus, to ensure a cohesive vision for global education initiatives across Cornell's colleges. The successful candidate must possess the knowledge, skills and experience required to create a cohesive education abroad agenda that is accessible to all students, serve as a thought leader on international education best practices on campus, build robust and meaningful relationships with faculty and staff across Cornell's endowed and private colleges, as well as provide day to day leadership and mentoring to the Cornell Abroad staff.
