The Admissions Specialist processes admission applications and application materials for domestic and international prospective students, maintains appropriate and accurate computer records, and assists applicants, parents and guidance counselors with questions and concerns about the application requirements and process via telephone and email. This role also provides support (as needed) for other University Enrollment projects.
Please note: The position requires the ability to perform physical labor, moving and lifting boxes of up to 50 lbs.
ADMINISTRATIVE & OPERATIONAL: Organize, process and data enter application materials and images; Perform needed data quality checks as appropriate and assigned; Assist with application decision proofing and checking as needed; assist with transferring all necessary admission document images to departments; provide needed backup for other staff during absences and vacations.
COMMUNICATION: Respond to phone and email inquiries from prospective students, their parents, high school and college staff members regarding application process and materials; Assist in responding to Undergraduate Admission general email account and provide backup for main Undergraduate Admission central phone line.
Assists with special projects as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
High school diploma with some college experience or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience from which comparable skills can be acquired.
