Job Description: BUILDING MANAGEMENT/AUTOMATION SYSTEMS ANALYST, Facilities-Repair and Maintenance (R&M)-Operations Division, to monitor HVAC automation functions and energy consumption, communicating HVAC system deficiencies and recommending improvements as appropriate. Will work to optimize systems function and building performance; work with KGS Clockworks building analytics system to investigate and report on fault detection; monitor MIT building management systems; program the various building management systems (BMS) to reflect current operational requirements; verify BMS graphics versus field conditions and modify accordingly; review all MIT building HVAC system operations and make recommendations for changes; write, maintain, and update documentation related to building HVAC systems; and perform benefit/cost analysis to support changes and/or replacement of HVAC system components.
Job Requirements: REQUIRED: six years' related experience in the mechanical field; minimum of three years' hands-on experience with BMS; knowledge of Schneider Electric Continuum, Schneider Electric Struxure Ware, Carrier CCN, Automated Logic WebCT, Siemens Apogee, or KGS Clockworks; experience working in teams; excellent customer service, project management, and written and oral communication skills; strong background troubleshooting repair and maintenance mechanical/electrical systems; working knowledge of MS Office, including MS Project and Visio; experience developing and maintaining positive relationships with clients and external vendors; and ability to work in a changing environment with competing demands, projects, and priorities. Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field preferred, as is certification as energy manager (CEM) and/or measurement and verification professional (CMVP). Associate's degree in the field of mechatronics a plus. Position involves traversing MIT's 168 acre campus, regularly entering and navigating all building and mechanical system spaces, and routinely accessing and conducting work in both small/confined and high spaces including roofs.
