INTERNAL AUDIT/COMPLIANCE ASSISTANT, MIT Federal Credit Union (MITFCU) (part-time, 20 hrs/wk.), to assist the MITFCU compliance manager and team in daily and monthly internal audit transactions in order to ensure validity and fraud prevention across the organization. Will also assist the compliance department with various administrative duties. Responsibilities include reviewing file maintenance reports and the wire transfer function and detailing exceptions to ensure compliance; assisting with the quality control function; receiving, researching, and resolving undeliverable ATM/debit cards, credit cards, and check orders and maintaining monthly log and ensuring destruction of unclaimed items; assisting with occasional audits of branch facilities including cash audits of tellers, audits of Amex traveler's card stock, and review of regulatory signage; performing internal control reviews on file maintenance reports and user access reports from core and ancillary systems to ensure accuracy and adherence to policies and procedures; assisting the compliance manager with scheduling the external and internal audit cycle and organizing request items listed for all onsite examinations; creating procedures as necessary; and providing support for the compliance department in all functionalities where needed.
REQUIRED: a minimum of two years of work experience in the financial services field; a high school diploma or its equivalent; superior member service skills and the ability to form long-term business relationships; excellent internal service skills; clear and concise verbal and written communication skills; and working knowledge of personal computers.
