Healthy Families Chicago has an opening for a "Family Advocate", in our Family Advocacy Center Program. The program works with families whose children are in foster care and need support in getting them returned, families in the community who are having difficulty and are at risk of having their children removed; and youth ages 17-21 who need assistance and life skills training to successfully leave the child welfare system. Famillies receive intensive in-home services from 6 months to 1 year.
We are looking for individuals who have a minimum of a BA/BS degree in social work or related field. Must have 2 years experience working with families or in child welfare. Experience in working with older teens a plus. Must have flexibility in working some evenings and weekends. Must have an automobile, valid driver's license and proof of insurance. Familarity with community resources in the South Suburbs and Westside of Chicago a plus. Bi-lingual a plus.
BA/BS degree in social work or related field, 2 years experience
