The Catholic Charitable Bureau of the Archdiocese of Boston is seeking a part-time Social Worker for the Nazareth Child Care Center located in Jamaica Plain to join its team of dedicated professionals.
The Social Worker will provide individual counseling to children ages three to five years. Conduct biopsychosocial assessments, create treatment plans and updates regularly and provide ongoing treatment and support services to children at the Nazareth Child Care Center.
The Social Worker will also provide case management services including advocacy and referral to children and their families at the Nazareth Child Care Center, while maintaining professional boundaries and confidentiality. The Social Worker will report to the Clinical supervisor of the Laboure Center’s counseling department in South Boston and will engage in regular clinical supervision with the Clinical Supervisors.
Qualifications include a Master’s degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling from an accredited school. LCSW from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts or anticipated licensure within 6 months of new employment. Candidates with Masters in Mental Health Counseling will be considered. A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in Social Services Prior experience working with young children and families Understanding of play therapy and its implementation Proven knowledge of a wide variety of treatment techniques Strong written and communication skills. Attention to detail with legible documentation Ability and willingness to travel between Catholic Charities sites. Must have a valid Massachusetts driver’s license and good driving record
